117th Avenue Vocal Jazz Ensemble
Seattle Tour 2010
The most advanced singers and rhythm section audition each spring for this choir. The 2009-2010 group consists of 13 singers and a rhythm quartet of bass, drums, piano and guitar.
Recent accolades include:
6 Solo Awards at Northwest Vocal Jazz Festival 2010
2nd place at Clackamas Community College Vocal Jazz Festival 2010, with several solo awards and Outstanding Musician
6 Solo Awards Friends of Frank Jazz Festival 2010
2nd place at the Clark College Jazz Festival in January 2010
2nd place at Jazz Unlimited in 2008
Rhythm Section Award at Jazz Unlimited 2008
Clark Jazz Festival 2nd place in 2006, 1st in 2007 and most recently, in 2009
5 soloist awards at the Friends of Frank Jazz Festival in February 2009
2nd Place at Clackamas Jazz Festival March 2009 with the Spirit of Jazz Award.
